"We were on the road on our way from Atlantic Beach NC to our home in Rochester when our 1989 FLHTC quit charging. We were 75 miles from Rocky Mount Harley when we called and told the service dept what our problem was. Without hesitation they said they would hold the dept. open and take our bike in as soon as we made it in. With a lot of luck the bike made it to Rocky Mt. and the service manager and mechanic looked at the bike and immediately knew the problem. Of course with a bike that age the part had to be ordered which they did immediately and had it overnighted to the dealer. They got us a good rate at a good hotel and all the staff were very helpful and the part came in and was put in the bike immediately and we were back on the road. "If you are really reading these testimonials and go anywhere other than Rocky Mount Harley then you deserve the over pricing and back room dealings you will get. I went to the dealership with a buddy to pick up his bike and ended up getting a 2011 Ultra. Jay Williams was a no pressure, to the point salesman which was exactly what I was looking for. I told him I had a trade in and he quoted me $1800.00 more than the quote I got locally. I asked if I could take my highway peg's and Brock the sales manager told me to go ahead and get them. (about $180.00) Brock then went on to say that he knew how expensive accesories can get and they (RMHD) was all for saving the customer some money if they could. I called the next day and asked Jay if I could get my low profile windshield and road gremlin bell off of my trade in, he said he would check and call me back. Jay called back and stated the general manager said yes (didn't expect that). (Low Profile Windshield ($150-175) I went in the dealership not really looking unless they met all my bottom lines, they exceeded all of my expections.The price of the bike lowered my monthly payment by $50.00, gave me $1800.00 more on my trade in than what I was quoted locally. No pressure, no hassle, fair price all the way around, great people to include but not limited to Jay, Brock, Eric, Chris and everyone who works for RMHD. 5 stars hell YOUR dealership should be voted best on east coast. You can bet I will be back and I will definately recommend you to anyone looking. One last thing My buddy and I went to one dealership in Hampton Roads and stood there looking for 20 minutes and noone ever approached us, 2 salesmen sat there socializing with each other and ignored us. "What began with an email, ended with a 2010 Street Glide in my garage! Frustrated w/ the Hampton Roads area HD dealers, a friend suggested RMHD. WOW, am I glad he did! "I walked in the dealership looking a Flame Blue Pearl 2010 Ultra Classic. Eric came right over to me and ask if he could assist me and I told him what I was looking and that I had a bike to trade in on the new Ultra. Eric went out and looked at my old bike and came in and gave me a quote on the new bike including what they would give me on the Kawasaki I was trading. The price on the Ultra was great and I was pleased with the amount they allowed me on my trade. They didn't have the color I was looking so Eric and Brock went to work and found one in Burlington. That afternoon John went and picked the bike up himself (thanks John). I went back in on Saturday and completed the paperwork and Eric again was great. John came in and introduced himself and thanked me for my purchase. I was then introduced to each department in the dealership with a mini poker run as a way to introduce each person responsible for the departments Again a wonderful experience and what a way to make a customer feel more at home. I will tell you that I looked around at other dealers before I went to Rocky Mount Harley and can honestly say that the costumer service that I received at Rocky Mount Harley is second to none. I picked the bike up today and Chris went over everything with me to make sure I new how to operate everything on the bike. He was great and again a wonderful experience. "This is a follow-up to my last survey. Some good stuff. After doing some price comparisons at the Fayetteville, Smithfield, and Raleigh HD dealerships I consistently found my bike was priced $3000-$4000 more at each one. Not even close to Rocky Mount HD's price. Fixed my fork lock myself, pretty straight forward alignment issue. Eric, the Business Manager expedited my plates to me after the paper temp tag flew off riding home. Thanks Eric. Overall after doing the comparisons, and Eric getting me back on the road, my experience was well worth the TWO hour ride to Rocky Mount. Anyone checking this out, you can rely on Rocky Mount to have the very Best Price up and down the eastern sea board. The supporting departments bring there "A" game everyday, well worth a 2 hour or more ride to check it out, and make a purchase. "

"After a close look at the posted testimonials, I do not think the dealership will post any evaluations that are not 5 stars, which is disappointing. Every sale in reality is not going to be flawless, there will be exceptional moments and not so exceptional. This is an evaluation of what I experienced, some of is great, some not so great. The day I went shopping was Aug 15th, the dealership was sponsoring an event. I got there on the tail end, as they were wrapping it up. I walked around alittle looking for any new Roadkings in stock. Instead the Screaming Eagle Fat Bob caught my eye. I must have looked at it for about an hour, Sales folk, and the Managers checked me out, but I got the "homeless guy" look. The we know he is there, but he is invisible, because we don't to get involved. The price being decent I contacted the dealership monday, and spoke with Eric Barill, Manager, financing secured, I relayed to him I don't want drive 2hours again and the same thing happened to me that happened to me on Saturday. Pick-up day, Saturday 22 Aug. Eric does the closing, he apologizes for blowing me off last saturday. Good thing. Exceptional thing: Chris goes over the bike with me, Chris does an exceptional job here. You feel good picking up the bike. Great thing: Service was able to get hold of the accesories, and install them, so when I came in at 0900hrs the bike was ready to ride. Not so Good thing: When I got it home, I tried to lock the forks, not happening. I contacted Chris at the dealership. Chris relayed all Dyna's have a problem with locking the forks, you have to try and lift up on the handlebars, pushing and turning the key at the same time. Have not been able to lock my forks yet. Thing I have not figured out, if Chris knew about this before I left the dealership, did he intentionally leave this part out of his presentation out, or did he forget? If yes it was intentional, that is definitely not a good thing. Overall it was an average day. Like I said at the beginning, if the dealership posts this I would be surprised. If they do, all the more the reason to come. Everything is not perfect, you have to take the good with bad. Will come back for required maintenance, well lets see, if this gets posted. "

"I have buying experiences at other dealerships including the one nearest my home. Rocky Mount HD is by far the best place I've ever done business! It is well worth the 140 mile round-trip to deal with these people! Brock and I worked out a deal for a 2009 Ultra Glide through email. It was a May/June cutom color so I ordered and waited. The price was excellent! These guys played none of the games that other dealerships have tried to play with me. Everything was easily understandable (including my 2004 Heritage trade-in) and totally above board. No pressure, no trash. They also gave a lot of incentives. I have now put just under 3000 miles on the bike and I've done the first service. Once again, the guys at Rocky Mount HD did a fabulous job. "On vaca from GA to DC (Jun09) and back via I-95, I stopped in on 6 HD shops to buy a "been there done that" t-shirt. Rocky Mount HD was a standout to me of the 6! But also, the store and motoclothes section were great and the people too. The over look and upkeep of the store was outstanding. I bougth a t-shirt and then called RMHD back once I got home to order that HD jacket I liked too b/c my local HD said it was discontinued! "8 months ago I purchased a 2007 FXDWG and have been riding every chance I get. After meeting many riders and discussing our experiences I have realized that I am very fortunate to have dealt with the the guys and gals at RMHD. Most of what I heard can be summed up as: all others expect you to come in and BUY a bike, RMHD, on the other hand, invites you in and SELLS you the bike. "I have been riding Harley Motorcycles for 40 years and have purchased lots of vehicles. Rocky Mount was the best buying experience I have ever had. I sent an inquiry over the internet and it was responded to immediately. Brock Pepper (sales manager) called and after he sweetened the deal to knock my wife off the fence we handled everything over the phone. Brock took my word as my bond and everything he promised he delevered. I arrived to your dealership on Saturday, May 31st, which I found to be proable your busiest day this year with a memorial ride, music, lunch and hundreds of biker there. The store was packed!! Brock met me as planned, then handed me off to Eric (business manager, big guy, big smile) who held all calls and focused on us to handle the paper work. He took time to explain everything and made sure I had all the things I needed to make my purchase complete. Eric then took me out to the sales floor and they insured that I was treated as the only person in the store and that I was able to find any accessory or clothing item we were looking for. I found some items that I intended to add to the bike and then thought of the large crowd and how difficult it would be to add these items. It was then that I met Gregg (service manager) who told me he would work me in. Gregg's job was also to go over all the aspects of a new bike. I rode Police bikes for (6) years, but this was my first with fuel injection and ABS braking. Up to their ears in alligators did not faze this staff of professionals as I was treated as the only customer they had to deal with on a busy day. I must say, I don't know the owner, but he is one lucky person to have such a dedicated staff of professionals in his organization. I rode 100 miles and pass at least 5 Harley dealerships to get to Rocky Mount. I made the right choice in selecting this dealership to assist me. "I picked up a used Road King from Brock last year. Brock went above and beyond with the trade in of my sportbike. While waiting to pick up my bike I met almost the entire staff that day and they were all very nice and approachable. I recently spoke with Brock about the purchase of a 08 Steet Glide and when I went to "other"dealers in my area they said they couldn't come close to the price Brock gave me, one salesman even walked away shaking her head. "I found the motorcycle I was looking for on your website. I email and called and talked to Brock in Sales. I came down in on a Saturday in March and purchased a Chopper Blue/Silver 2006 Ultra. The sales and F&I departments bent over backwards to get me out the door on my new ride. The service dept installed the extras so that I could get out and home before dark. Mike in F&I did a great job of getting me the payments I wanted. Later the bike developed a leak and the service dept took care of it in a very timely manner. Also the CB was not working, they were not able to make the repair while I was there, so they sent someone to Elizabeth City 2 hours away and picked up the bike made the repair and returned it to me. "I had test driven a Heritage at a dealer in NY,but the salesman was unable ro get the color I wanted. The recomendation that you made concerning our past riding experiences helped me decide which model to purchase. " RMHD redefined Customer Service for me. Trying to make a decision on purchasing a motorcycle was pressure enough for me and being able to do so without added pressure from the sales staff or finance mgrs certainly deserves 5 stars in my opinion. " I just purchased my 2006 black cherry Street Glide from Rocky Mount Harley Davidson. I live in Chesapeake, VA and when I began my search for my Street Glide I wanted to make an informed choice. So I began looking at the HD dealers in Hampton Roads. I found that most had raised their prices 2 or 3 thousand dollars above the MSRP price that was posted on the HD USA web site. I even had one salesman tell me that his dealership did not go by the MSRP price, they went by dealer MSRP. (What The HELL is "dealer" MSRP?) So I started calling HD Dealerships and who did I get on the phone at Rocky Mount Harley Davidson, but Brock Pepper, a very honest man. Can you believe it... the price he told me on the phone was the same price I got when I showed up at the dealership. That's not all... I was given a substantial store credit to spend any way I wanted, and my first 1000 mile service is free. Hell, Brock even bought me lunch and helped tie my new bike down on the truck. I didn't want something for nothing; I just wanted to be treated fairly and I was treated like I had known Brock and the rest of the staff all my life. " We had been to several other dealerships and told them of our intentions to buy two bikes. We promptly walked out when they were less than enthusiastic about our requests and questions. We walked into the Rocky Mount HD dealership less than one hour before closing and walked out with not one but two bikes. Brock Pepper was awesome, he located us a Fatboy for my husband and emailed photos of my Deluxe while it was still in the service bay getting its radical paint job installed. Mike Jury was great in helping us select some different handlebars for the Fatboy and other custom parts. Mike Eason made the financing process painless and helped locate an insurance company that saved us over $800.00 per year! Darrel Ange gave us our overview of the bikes once the paperwork was done. He not only did the required items but also covered handy tips from his experience. The owner, John Rudolph, delivered the bikes to our home on a Saturday afternoon. "Went with my roomate who was purchasing an 05 Night Train he had seen on the web site. I had beat the idea around about buying, but thought the price was out of my range. While looking around the showroom I talked with Brock Pepper. He guided me to a pristine 99 Heritage that had just been traded in. The price he placed on the bike was unreal! Fifteen minutes later I was a proud owner of that bike. I was introduced to the Service Manager and the rest of the staff. My roomate purchased his bike that day also, but asked to have the bike lowered. His would take a few days to complete. That didn't seem to be a problem with these guys...they delivered BOTH bikes to our front door! On top of that they extended our first service for free and even srung for lunch both times. "I purchased my 2004 Ultra in April of last year from your dealership after pricing and trying to deal with 4 other dealers locally. I spoke with Brock on the phone on Tuesday afternoon and was given the first reasonable "out the door" price of any of the dealer I had spoken too. Wednesday morning I called back and asked if the bike could be ready on Saturday to which Brock called me back shortly and told me the bike would be ready Saturday afternoon. On my arrival, later than planned (4:30 ), I shook hands with Brock and was lead to Tommy's office where all the paperwork was ready, signed my name a few times and gave Tommy the check. I was soon carried to the service manager who stayed late while spending more than ample time going over the bike with me. Folks if I could only buy a car that easy and hassle free! Since that day I have returned to Rocky Mount for my service and recently to have engine up grades done including a 1550 kit, breather kit, power commander, 2:11 cams, and Sreaming Eagle 2 pipes a combination suggested by Daryl, the service manager. The combo is excellent. The winter special pricing was great. The mechanic, Scott, was knowledgable, competent, and tuned the bike in on the Dyno double checking the results when the combo delivered alittle more hp and torque than expected to be sure no mistakes had been made. While there during the upgrades not a sole passed me without speaking or asking if I needed assistance. Also, I must acknowledge Mark Cutler, General Manager, who hooked me up with a ride for lunch and was just a fine person to talk too, as well as, Mike Jury, Operations Manager, who was a wealth of Knowledge at the Parts Counter. It has been my pleasure to recommend your dealership to friends and anyone else willing to listen. Since my purchase, I know of at least three people I sent to you that have purchased including two last week who will be picking up their bikes this week. My only regret is that I don't live closer as I would love to try your HOG group, but then again, I would not have an excuse to take a day off and enjoy that nice long ride to for service. "The experience was a unique one because I purchased the bike solely by phone and Internet. Originally, I called looking for a low Buell. Brock was very candid and honest. He asked a few questions, one being... "have you ever ridden before?" Since I hadn't, he recommended an 883 instead of the Buell. Generally, I'm a rigid and difficult buyer. He was a great salesman and made it quick and easy. The following weekend I was there dealing with Tommy and Darrel. I never met Brock because his baby was born about the same time (where's my cigar?) Damon helped us as well. I now own a beautiful 05 883L with a screaming eagle exhaust. I felt really comfortable after I bought it and sat on it. I was further relaxed because a regular customer praised Darrel and the service department. He spent nearly an hour with me while Darrel put the bike on my truck. This customer is why I'll come back to 243 miles for my service and upgrades (I live out of state). He even told me how to chrome out my bike the affordable way. I know this is a long testimonial... but you guys are terrific..!!!!!!!! See you at a 1,000. "

"This was the 6th Harley Davidson I have purchased new. This Dealership truly understands what the "Harley Davidson Experience" is all about! You knew that this is so much more than just a job to these people. I dealt with Brock Pepper, Scott Eaker, Tommy Lamm, Dan, and Mark Cutler while at the dealership. The interaction between the different areas of responsibility flowed seamlessly and I always was left with the feeling I was dealing with an individual who genuinely cared about me personally. The Ownership of this dealership is to be commended for assembling such a quality staff! In my book, that says something special about the quality of the Ownership as well.
